Rueter-Hess Reservoir Open House

A Huge Success!

Resident’s from the South Metro area turned out in droves for this once in a lifetime event.  A non-stop procession of vehicles took part in the self-guided tour, where they were able to drive across the dam and down into the bottom of the reservoir. 

Many of the tour participants stopped at the end of the tour to visit information booths staffed with representatives from Douglas County water districts and the Douglas County Sheriff’s office.  It is estimated over 3,500 cars and 10,000 residents participated. 

The picture perfect day was enjoyed by all, and Parker Water & Sanitation District would like to thank everyone for joining us in this historic event.
