SEASONAL LABORER

Parker Water and Sanitation District is accepting applications for a seasonal/temporary position.

JOB SUMMARY
This non-exempt, non-benefited, temporary position is responsible for assisting various departments. Some duties may include, but not limited to:
• Hydrant painting
• Assist with valve maintenance
• Perform traffic control and flagging activities

Qualification / Experience
Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid Colorado driver's license with a Motor Vehicle Record acceptable to the District's insurance company.

Hourly Rate: $15.00/hour

GIS Intern

Parker Water and Sanitation District is accepting applications for a Summer GIS Intern and a Year-Long GIS Intern.

JOB SUMMARY
These non-exempt, non-benefited, temporary positions are responsible for assisting the GIS coordinator in gathering data and researching records.

  • Gather missing or additional data using a Trimble survey-grade GPS unit.
  • Archival of large scale water and sewer Mylar as-builts.
  • Research records, including but not limited to, easements and plats, as necessary.
  • Read and interpolate legal descriptions and exhibits as needed.
  • Perform routine clean-up and housekeeping of work areas and equipment.

 

Qualification / Experience

Summer Intern: Successful candidates must be working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Information Systems or related field of study is required. Data entry skills are required for accurate maintenance of a GIS geodatabase.

Year-Long Intern: Must have past experience and knowledge of Graphic Information Systems principles and practices. Data entry skills are required for accurate maintenance of a GIS geodatabase. 

Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license with a Motor Vehicle Record acceptable to the District’s insurance company.

Hourly Rate:  $17.00/hour

Summer Internship hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 3-4 months.
Year-long Internship hours: Monday – Friday, 20 - 30 hours per week, 12 months.

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

Parker Water and Sanitation District is accepting applications for a full-time maintenance mechanic.

Successful candidates must have a minimum of one year experience in the maintenance, preventative maintenance, repair and operation of industrial and process equipment. Position requires knowledge and experience with operating construction, maintenance, heavy equipment and other mechanized equipment and hand tools to complete tasks such as repairing underground valves and pipes and the placement of pumps and valves in system. Must have or be able to obtain, within one year, a class “B” CDL with Hazmat endorsement.

The ideal candidate will have working knowledge, skills, training and experience in the following: forklifts, backhoes, dump trucks, cranes, pump hydraulics and the mechanics of machinery.

The salary range for this position is $23.63/hr and $31.26/hr , beginning pay will be based on experience. Excellent benefits include company paid health/dental and life insurance plus retirement plan.

ELECTRICIAN

Parker Water and Sanitation District is accepting applications for a full-time industrial electrician.

Successful candidates must have a minimum of five years experience with progressively increased responsibility as an electrician. Position requires knowledge and experience in preventive maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications to motors, HVAC, controllers, power supplies and transformers associated with water production and wastewater treatment. Must be able to obtain a class “B” CDL with Hazmat endorsement.

Colorado Journeyman’s License a plus. Experience with Variable Frequency Drives, Instrumentation Equipment, PLC’s, soft - start equipment and SCADA is highly desirable.

Depending on experience and license, beginning pay between $20.93/hr and $35.39/hr. Range covers applicants with no license to Journeyman to Master Electrician. Excellent benefits include company paid health/dental and life insurance plus retirement plan.
